Nokesville native Arturo Gomez Torbio was arrested on Tuesday following a months-long investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of a child over the summer.
In June, an investigation was launched by the Prince William County Police Department into claims of sexual assault between May 1 and June 5 involving a juvenile victim, leading to detectives obtaining a warrant for Gomez Torbio's arrest.
Investigators noted that Gomez Torbio knew his victim.
Gomez Torbio turned himself in to police on Tuesday, Oct. 29, where he was charged with forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties.
He is being held without bond pending his next court appearance.
